Gas Tach Adapter

The Gas Tach Adapter can “ring proof” the signal from any spark coil, providing clean 12V square waves from the spikiest magneto or longest-discharge COP coil. With selectable “blanking” times from 520 microseconds to 4.3 milliseconds, it will even clean up “multi-fire” coil signals from aftermarket CDI boxes like the MSD 6/6AL. Smaller than a half dollar and double-sealed with urethane over epoxy, it's rugged enough to live beside the engine and tiny enough to hide anywhere. Four simple wires hook it up (power, ground, coil-in and digital-out) and 3 simple DIP switches select the re-trigger interval. The switches are changeable “on the fly” to make finding the right setting for your engine a snap. Jumpy tach signals have met their match!

Recommended for inputs from: Magnetos, HEI / DS-II, CDI Boxes, Points Ignition, DIS / 2-Wire COP. Some calibration and delay tuning may be required. Please contact us with any questions you have before ordering.

Note: This product comes in a 3D printed enclosure with 6 inch wires connected to the 12v, ground, and signal out connectors, as well as roughly 6 feet of wire for the signal in connector.
