Can I Use My Stock or Existing Aftermarket Sensors?

In many cases, yes. OneGauge can work with a wide variety of factory and aftermarket sensors, but compatibility depends on the sensor type and whether accurate calibration data is available.

Can I Use My Stock Sensors?

You may be able to use your vehicle’s factory sensors if:

• The sensor produces a compatible resistance or voltage signal.

• A reliable calibration table or specification is available.

• The sensor is not being shared with the factory ECU or another gauge in a way that changes its reading.

Some factory sensors are controlled, powered, or interpreted by the ECU and cannot simply be connected directly to OneGauge. Sharing a resistive sensor between OneGauge and a factory gauge or ECU can also cause inaccurate readings.

Can I Use Aftermarket Sensors I Already Purchased?

Usually, yes—especially if the sensor has a documented:

• 0–5V output

• Resistance-to-temperature or resistance-to-pressure table

• Voltage-to-pressure calibration

• Part number and manufacturer datasheet

Common aftermarket pressure and temperature sensors can often be configured in the OneGauge software without needing to purchase replacements.

What Information Do You Need?

Before connecting an existing sensor, send us:

• The manufacturer and part number

• A link or photo of the sensor specifications

• What the sensor measures

• Whether it is already connected to an ECU or another gauge

We can review the information and confirm whether the sensor can be used and what calibration settings are required.

Do not connect an unknown sensor without verifying its wiring and output. Incorrect wiring can damage the sensor, the OneGauge input, or other vehicle electronics.
